2. In order to express the memorial feelings on a particular day that the government has appointed, we make flags lowered to half-staff. Explain when we make flags lowered to half-staff in Korea, and also compare condolence days to national holidays using how we hoist Taegeukgi..

We make flags lowered to half-staff when we should express the memorial feelings on days like HyunchoongIl(현충일), Korea War. Since we should express our memorial feeling to many soldiers or people who passed away during the war, we should make flags lowered to half staff

Condolence days and national holidays are different on how we hoist flags. On condolence days, we should lower the flag half-staff, as I mentioned. On the other hand, we do not lower the flag on national holidays because it is a day to celebrate and show happiness. Since it means that lowering the flag shows sadness and condolences, we mustn’t lower Taegeukgi on national holidays. For example, when it is a holiday like 광복절, we shouldn’t lower the flag, and when it is condolence day like 현충일, we should lower the flag and express sadness to people who have been sacrificed.

3. As the age group using smartphones goes down, people are worrying about side effects of overuse by children. One research says smartphone distribution rate has been sharply rising recently for children and teenagers, of 50% for elementary school students and of 80% of middle and high school students. Explain what the bad results are and what you can do to prevent these problems.

These days, many teenagers use smartphone frequently. There are many bad results of using the smartphone.

First of all, children can be addicted to their phone. If children are addicted, they might not compare reality and game, so they would not think seriously about making others hurt. Also, if they are addicted, they would not be able to concentrate on their work. They will think about their phone even on class time, and this will heavly affect their school life.

Second, children can get health problems. By looking at the electronic screen too much, their eye sight will get bad. Moreover, since they look into their phone too much, they might get turtle neck. As a rule of a thumb, my friend who frequently looks at his phone has a turtle neck.

Lastly, children can bully their friend by SNS. These days, SNS are very developed, and teenagers are likely to bully their friend by chatting with other friends to bully him or her. This could end up to serious problem, and the bullied child would have to get a big impact in their life.

Then, what should we do to prevent these problems? We can make time for using smartphones, and only have beneficial apps that won’t have a big impact on our school life. If we just take the problem of using the smartphone seriously, we would be able to prevent from suffering these problems.
